Frequently asked questions

Are my videos uploaded to Olyteck?

No. Recording, editing and export run in your browser, and the MP4 is saved on your computer (or straight into the folder you choose). The server only counts how many videos you make for your plan - never the video, its name or its content. Client screens and internal procedures stay with you.

Is there a time limit or a watermark on the free plan?

Neither. The free plan records as long as your disk allows, in Full HD, with no logo on your video. Pro adds the Studio: cuts, zooms, spotlight, camera moves, title cards, vertical and square formats, and up to 4K.

Can I turn a 16:9 slide presentation into a LinkedIn or Reels clip?

Yes, without recording again. Record in Studio mode with your camera on, then pick 4:5, 9:16 or 1:1: the slide goes on top, full width, and you appear below it. You can also keep only one area of the screen, or add a headline above the slide.

What if the browser crashes during a long recording?

The recording is written to your disk as it happens. When you come back, the page offers to recover it up to the last seconds before the crash.

Can I record a Teams, Zoom or Meet meeting?

Yes, with the sound of the meeting and your microphone. Tell the participants first: why you record and how long you keep it, and let them object. In France, recording private conversations without people knowing is an offence (article 226-1 of the Penal Code). The recorder shows a reminder and a ready-to-paste announcement.

Which browsers work?

Chrome or Edge on a computer give you everything: computer sound, saving straight into a folder, floating controls. Firefox records the screen but without computer sound or folder saving. Phones and tablets cannot record their screen from a web page.
