Frequently asked questions

Are my images sent to a server or to an AI service?

No. Editing, compression and even background removal run in your browser tab. The AI model is downloaded once to your computer and works offline from there. The server only checks your plan before a very large export and counts exports - never the image, its name or its content.

Why not just ask ChatGPT or Gemini again?

Because the last 10 % is where generators struggle: a misspelt title, the wrong format, a 3 MB file, a logo that must be exact. Each new prompt changes the whole picture. Image Forge keeps the picture and lets you fix only what is wrong: cover or erase the bad text, type your own title in a ready-made style, add your logo, export at the exact size.

Is blurring enough to hide a password in a screenshot?

Not always: light blur and large pixels can sometimes be reversed. For passwords, keys, IBANs or personal data, use the solid box - it replaces the pixels for good. Image Forge suggests it, and the exported file contains only the flattened picture, no hidden layer.

What happens to the photo’s metadata?

Exports contain the pixels only: GPS position, camera details, editing history and AI content credentials are not copied. If you publish an AI-generated picture, you can add a small “AI-generated” label in one click.
